All operations, including capturing video frames, generating thumbnails, and creating zip archives, are performed entirely locally on your device.

2. Local Storage

Any data generated by the extension (such as captured images, video segments, and metadata) is saved securely and exclusively within your browser's local storage mechanisms (Local Storage and IndexedDB). You have full control over this data and can clear it at any time directly through the extension interface or your browser settings.

3. Permissions Explained

Kineto requires specific browser permissions to function correctly. Here is why we need them:

• Storage & Unlimited Storage: Required to save your captured high-resolution images and metadata locally on your device without restrictive size limits.
• ActiveTab & Host Permissions (<all_urls>): Required to interact with the current video player on any webpage you visit so the extension can accurately capture frames and videos.
• ClipboardWrite: Required to allow you to easily copy captured images directly to your system clipboard.
• Tabs: Required to manage extension interfaces and inject the capture tools into your active browsing session.

4. Third-Party Services

We do not use any third-party tracking, analytics, or analytics tools within the extension that collect your browsing habits.
